Before you go
A common itinerary is 3 days starting and finishing at Pokhara. Add buffer time for weather, road conditions and, where relevant, domestic flights.
The highest point on this itinerary is about Around 2,500 m. It stays in the foothills, so altitude illness is unlikely but not impossible.
Confirm current local forest entry and guide requirements for your exact trail before departure. Check the current Nepal Tourism Board and Department of Immigration pages close to departure, and ask a government-registered agency to name every permit your itinerary requires.
October–November and March–May. Winter is colder with snow higher up; the monsoon brings rain, cloud and, on some trails, leeches.
Panchase is a short option from Pokhara, but short does not mean flat. Expect several hours of walking each day, forest climbs and steep summit steps. Choose a slower itinerary if you are not comfortable with consecutive walking days.
This itinerary travels from Pokhara to Bhumdi, then Panchase Bhanjyang. On day three, climb Panchase Hill before descending toward Bhadaure for a road transfer to Pokhara. Tap each itinerary day to see its stops on the map.
From $270 per person. Final cost depends on your dates, group size and agreed inclusions. Ask for an itemised quote before booking.
